Hey Guys! A friend of mine had trouble with the airbags of her stock '06 Jeep Liberty this morning. While driving to work, her airbags deployed without anything hitting the Jeep. They just went off for no apparent reason. She is ok, but her arms are burnt and the interior of the Jeep is a mess. Has anyone heard of any advisories or similar occurrences with the Jeeps? I am searching online, but any help would be appreciated... |

I seem to recall a TSB for the airbags, but thought that was for the earlier models, like 02-04 or 05???? Could be wrong though... |

Can run their vin on the Jeep website and check to see that it had been serviced for the recall.. and any other recall it may have missed. |

If I remember right that recall on the SRS system was for only very early '02 KJ's. |

My 04 was recalled for the next generation airbag switch thingy... Not sure what the range of years were though. |

Thanks for all of the feedback guys! I've used your information to look up TSBs, and it has helped my friend when she has talked with the dealership over the last two days. As soon as we hear something back from the dealer, I'll be sure to post an update on what was found. To the site admins, I apologize for placing this thread in the General Discussion thread. I realize now I should have posted it in the Technical section...
