Seems to be coming on for no apparent reason. It started coming on while letting the jeep warm up, I went to get oil, turned it off/on, lights no longer on and I was NOT low on oil. I was due for an oil change, got this done, it's been a few days now the light came back on. What gives? Also has came on while just driving, not always while warming up in the morning. 2006 Liberty. I bought it slightly used in 06. 61k miles now. |

Could be the pressure sending unit. Others have had the problem you describe. Personally, if mine ever starts acting F***ed up like that, I'll be hooking up a mechanical pressure gauge to rule out the pump. |

Mine did the same thing.... Pull your connector on the oil sending unit and check to see if there is oil inside the connector. If so then replace the sending unit and the light will go off. Think the new sending unit from the stealership cost me $45. Takes about 10min. to replace it. |
