I am going to be changing my power steering fluid to Amsoil synthetic fluid and was wonder how much I'll need. I think they are sold in quart bottles. (Plus I need to know so I don't have to pay for shipping twice if I don't have enough!)

I checked my owners manual but it didn't give the capacity, just what kind you need.

Anyone know for sure? Trying to minimize how much I'll have sitting around after I am done.

Are you sucking out as much of the old fluid as you can? I use 3 bottles for 1st change.
suck out old, top off and run for a few minutes, then suck out whats in the res and repeat til all 3 bottles are in there.

Yes, that is what I plan on doing. So 3 bottles should get "most" of the old fluid out then?

Guess I'll have to place my order then!

Thanks! :D

"most" or pretty close is my guess. IIRC when mine was all new after the SFA swap it took 3 bottles to fill it from empty but that was w/ the Ford steering box, etc.
