I'm sure someone has done this. Good/bad results? I pounded my pinch weld down this week and my "plastic surgery" doesn't look so good. I was doing it in freezing weather so the plastic was cooling really fast before I could form it well. One of my wheel well liners was already cracked in 2 spots from a prior incident. I was thinking why not just pull the plastic out and coat the inside of the wheel well with bedliner (paint on or spray on?) once it warms up?

Thanks,
Craig

Problem with that is the spray on liner won't shield all the spots water and road salt can get into to cause rust. If you take a closer look at the liners and the way they attach to the flares you'll see what I mean. About the only way to do it effectively would be to remove the fenders and then coat any exposed metal along with the backside of the fenders to keep the rust monster away and then when you get a rock chip in the spray on liner it will allow rust to start forming anyway. Plastic liners don't rust......IMHO, I'd check some junkyards and try to find replacements before I get rid of the plastic liners.

Ah, thanks. I haven't had the liners out yet to look at them.

Just to give you an idea of what it looks like in behind the liners
