I tried going through the manual & couldn't find anything on this. I have the 3.7 and wanted to know how often do we need to replace the timing belt? Which one do we have; is it a belt or chain?

They are chains, should last life of engine on a gasser from what I am told by a service tech. Unless I am rediculously wrong
edit: looked at the FSM- consists of a primary chain, 2 secondary chain drives and a counterbalance shaft drive.

Time for a rebuild if timing chains are needed on the 3.7.There lifespan is 250,000+ miles, not saying they couldn't fail earlier but highly unlikely. The timing chain tensioners will go well before the chains will.
