Tried searching but didn't come up with the info. I was after....I'm replacing the rear U-joints on my '02 and am wondering if it's possible to get the front U-joint up by the trafer case out without pulling the slip yoke ?? Are the u-joints pressed in as in you need a shop press to get them out ?? I've been trying with a large "C" clamp to get the cups to press out but I'm not having any luck... Any ideas ?? Thanks.. |

just unbolt the drive shaft, clip the clip that holds the rubber boot in place and pull it out. replace the u-joints the way you do any of them and replace . You can use a wire tie in the rubber boot to seal it now. Takes a little more than a C clip or has on mine and the ones I have done so far on the KJs I just use the vice and a BFH Done!! |
