Saw on the JBA web site that he has some Re-manufactured Gen 3.5 UCA's
for a significant discount over the new Gen 4.5's.

I'm doing a Frankenlift later this spring. Although I know changing the UCS's isn't necessary,
I figured I may go ahead and do it if I can save a little $$$ on the UCA's.

What is the difference(s) between the Gen 3.5 versus the Gen 4.5??
Has anyone felt it necessary to 'upgrade' to the 4.5's from a previous version??

I'm going to PM the folks at JBA also, but would like as much info as possible.

The 3.5s were a different design as to how they attached to where the ball joint was. The 3.5s had a press in type ball joint
The remanned ones were cut apart and where the ball joint pressed in that was cut out and a piece like the 4.5s was welded in.
Also the 3.5 were not quite as long and the angles were somewhat different than the 4.5s
If you're doing a Franky I would suggest the 4.5s
with just springs and no additions then the 3.5s would work
