I want to hear from all of you with roof racks with lights. After your install was there more wind noise and how much did it make your mpg go down while not loaded and loaded? I am asking because I really want to change the look of my 06 Limited and add the functionality, but I do not want it to make a huge impact on mpg and everyday driving.

I have an 06 Limited (stock) with a Yakima rack. No lights, but I have the spare up top. I have not noticed a whole lot of difference in MPG. My mileage is not the greatest anyways. I need to change the plugs and do the Seafoam thing this spring. Right now I get about 16 city/18 hwy. The only noise I have noticed from my rack it a faint rattle from the plastic fairing on it. I plan on replacing it with a more solid metal one in the future.

I have installed Yakima racks with no basket, yet. I haven't seen any difference in the mpg. My average stays about 17.8 including highway and intown. There is no difference in wind noise either. Of course, I have the factory light bar which gives me a little wind noise anyway and it probably breaks the wind for the racks.

I've added the Renegade lights, no change in mileage, just logged 27.9 at 73mph hwy and about 10%city on this last tank. I was expecting a hit, and I'm pleasently surprised. More noise from my tires than the wind, I didnt notice much of a change there.

With a Thule ski box and Thule cargo basket up top and double wind fairings
and the basket fully loaded, we still manage 22+ mpg.

Wow, you guys kick my arse for gas mileage. I wonder if my odo or speedo is off... Is that a dealer only kind of thing?

My tires and everything are stock, but my speedometer is off by about 4mph according to GPS. Oh well, it's probably just enough to keep me from getting a speeding ticket. That is if I didn't know about it. :JEEPIN:
