| Post subject: | Tilt wheel won't stay in place |
So the stupid lever that when pushed up hold the steering wheel in the correct tilt position is loose and likes to fall down when on a poopy road, which there are a lot of these days, haha. Short of zip tying the thing in place, how can I fix this thing? TIA. |

I used to have the same problem. It hasn't done it in a long time but I haven't wheeled it as hard as I used to in California. I had thought about taking the plastic cover off to see if some sort of shim could be put in there. Does anybody else have any experience or ideas? I too would appreciate it. |

Mine did the same thing a couple years ago. I took the bottom plastic cover off and there's a mechanism in there that holds it that broke. I used an electrical wire to hold it fixed in place. Never adjust it anyways and looks complicated to take apart unless you know what you're doing. |
