Basically a showpiece by Mopar.

Quote:
The Overland packs a 2.8-liter four cylinder CRD turbo diesel mill and the Selec-Trac II 4X4 system. The black zebra stripe theme (which is of questionable taste...) is supposed to give this Cherokee more of a safari feel.

The Mopar team tells us that the Overland was largely taken over by ARB, which provided the steel roof rack, awning, rock rails, compact refrigerator and three-inch suspension lift. Old Man Emu shocks and Mickey Thompson 265/75 MTZ tires mated to some bitchin' white steel wheels provide more off-road capability. Also added were skid plates, rear tow hooks, sill guards and a pedal kit.

I know, I think the KJ CRD would get sold if the KK was offered with one.

I would feel too embarassed to be seen in that vehicle here in one of my local Game Parks
I drive a dark green 2002 CRD KJ which blends in quit nicely. :)

Interesting paint scheme, no doubt. Their overhead rack accomodated the skyslider roof (although appears primarily configured to accomodate the side awning or RTT since there aren't any cross members you could actually load). I do like the black trim-out (including grille and around wheel well openings) contrasted against the white.

Too bad it seems companies are only interested in making press-grabing vehicle (mods) like these but not actually bringing them out to market :(

Instead of Barbie & Ken, that thing is Ken & Ken.

Not to sound too repetitive, but I’d consider a KK with a diesel application. :JEEPIN:

Uh, been doin' that since fall 2008 since I decided to purchase a KK. Been contacting a lot of companies that made aftermarket products for the KJ about getting products for the KK and the responses (from all the various companies) consisted of one of 4 reply classifications:
    1. No reply.
    2. Saying they didn't sell enough of KJ products to make anything for KK.
    3. Saying "wait and see...."
    4. Unfulfilled promises that never came to fruition.

That's why I've been forced to take matters into my own hands.
