Ok guys, I need ure help. I got the proof back for the promo tokens I'm having made to promote the site and before they go to production I need your opinions. What do you think? For further info see my original thread at http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t=425

The first pic will have the Oval around the LOST Logo removed and a more prominant logo filling up the front of the token (I know the artwork is blurry but it will be crisp and clean in production) with the Trail rated logo on the back with the website address around it. The 2nd design will have the oval around the logo and the web address under it with the trail rated design full size on the back. I'm going for the website around the T/R logo myself as this would make the LOST logo get more attention but I would like opinions as I am having around 1000 of these Made initially. |

DITTO. Oval Lost logo w/ URL on one side and Trail rated w/ "Come join Us" on other. I'm in for some for sure. |

So, Keep the LOST logo in the oval but lose the web address under it and place it on the back around the T/R logo? |

I'm with them. I like the T/R logo with the website on one side and the "LOST" logo on the other WITH the oval around it. |

1st image, Left side, Leave as is. 2nd Image, Left side, Center oval logo, Remove web addy. Perfect IMHO. |

Will the letters on the top left be shadowed like that? Makes me think I need to clean off my glasses. It'll be a nice looking chip! |

No shadows, my paint program wouldn't let me rotate letters around the design unless I used a shadowed font.... darn Microsoft!

We have enough LOST artwork laying around that we can leave Jeep's Trail Rated bug off of this and use something else. We are trying to promote LOST with these aren't we? Just my 0, 2, or more cents worth. |

I don't want to rain on this parade, but isn't the term "Trail Rated" almost certainly copy righted, trade marked, etc? Just a thought. |

Liberty (used in refernce to a vehicle) and KJ probalby are too, but he's not going to sell them so I doubt there's a problem. |

Actually I do intend to offer them to others as a way to promote the site and to offset the cost of purchasing 500-1000 pieces. I don't expect to make a profit. As for the copyright issue, when Jeep contacts me about them I'll worry about it. My reason for these posts was to see which design was better liked and to see who was interested in these, not to start a discussion about copyrights. So maybe we could keep that for another thread and keep this one pertinent to the reason it was started? If anyone thinks that we should NOT be promoting the site let me know. |

Skyjump, I appreciate it. Didn't mean to sound harsh. Just that I've done a number of this type thing for various clubs/orgs I've belonged to and never had a copyright issue. Most companies are so happy for the publicity they usually throw some freebies our way eventually. As long as it's not to make a profit or puts the company in a bad light. So, how many u want? |
