So now that its lostjeeps and not just kj/kk would it be fair to say that the general discussions would include all jeep related topics?

I mean we have sub forums for other XJ/WJ etc, but they are pretty much dead, the CRD forum and the general forum are the most lively of the bunch...........would it be fair lets say to post pictures and info about something WJ related in the general forum, or should it go into the grand cherokee section with potentially little traffic?

well, only/best way to generate traffic in those sections is to post in them so post in them. this is still the general section for KJ related topics. plan long ago was to grow the sub sections like this one if warranted but that hasn't happened.

I understand that, without content no one will look in those forums, and without anyone to look in those forums they will not generate content.

So let me pose this question.........would it be reasonable to double post something WJ or XJ related - once here in the general since this seems to be the goto section for lost, and once in the appropriate forum.

That way the content is in the "correct" place but at the same time the real discussions and comments can happen here where there is traffic and visibility?
(at least until enough traffic hits the sub forums to justify only posting in the correct place).

i'd say no, this is the KJ General Discussion section so general KJ stuff should be in here, but i'm nobody, hopefully an admin will reply.

To further add to the mix is the really bad decision to add "my rig" to the lifetime section. It's become nearly impossible to use this site as a resource. I often wondered why there's a need for "off topic" & "general discussions"; it seems that many don't know when to post in either.

how do you know that exists? you a lifetime member? fwiw there are only 7 threads in there......

OT and general sections are always a mess on just about every forum, sure the couple admins left clean them when they can. :ALONE:
