Does anyone have a write up on moving the front turn signals to the stock fog light location? |

Whatever lights you are going to use is what is going to determine your mounting bracket for the light in the fog light housing hole. The lights I used have a rear stud mount with the wires for the lights coming out the post for the stud on the rear of the light. so fabbing up a "u" style bracket was a breeze to mount the lights in the holes. If you want your lights to be markers and turns they must be 3 wire. I can't tell you what the color code is because I just used my circuit tester to determine the wires from the harness for the side marker and front turn/marker light. I did use the side marker harness (194 bulb) for my LED side markers I put into my flares, that's just 2 wire, hot and ground. The front is where I spliced in a 3 wire harness for my front LED marker/turns. Off my light I can tell you red is the turn signal, black is the marker and white is the ground, what the colors are from the factory harness I don't know(I have them shrink wrapped and taped neatly in conduit). Like I said I used my circuit tester but if ya know electrical it is very easy. I may be able to get Tom to snap and post some pics with my grille off for ya when I get over to his place, my regular pc is still getting fixed.

Thanks for the reply. I figured it was easy and was thinking about using the JK turn signals. Im not sure if its a perfect fit but they look close. If you do add a picture that would be great. Also what type of light are you running and where could I find it? Thanks. |

I picked up the front LED's at harrisonspecialties.com and I did forget to mention ya have to wire in a resistor for the front turns so ya don't have a fast flash issue. I picked the resistors up at v-leds.com . I also looked at the JK's because where I used to work I had them on carhaulers just about everyday and I don't remember exactly why I didn't use them but I am sure fitment was the issue. I see what I can do about twisting Tom's arm to snap a pic or two and get them to ya.

Scout, you still at Carson, if so, just stop by Marty's and look at my wires on the front for the color matching, they are all still exposed. |
