I have a 2006 Renegade with 85K+ miles. Hadn't changed the rear brakes in over a year and figured it was due. I replaced the pads, rotors, caliper pins and bushings. The rotors were still usable (I learned here that the fronts go MUCH faster) but I had the money to get new ones and did it myself.
So far so good.
Driving to work Tuesday after the July 4 weekend and I noticed a low-pitched howl - it's not very loud and it sounds like it's coming from the front - while braking for deceleration. You know - just gentle pressure on the pedal as you're nearing a stop. Not sure if it was there before I changed the brakes, but I 1st noticed it Tuesday. Other than that, no problem.
I will defer to the great minds on here: Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
