I need a hitch for the wife's '05 KJ. Been looking online for used ones and the OEM that I notice use the smaller receiver. so obviously no class III. do any OEM hitches come with the Class III loading and receiver? anyone know a good place to look for one? paying $200 for a new one is not gonna happen

I see used ones quite often, have bought and resold a few even, all that I have seen are the regular size ones, none of the smaller 1.5 inch or whatever they are. Just keep looking around they are out there and yes even on Craigslist. I think thats where I found the KK one that I used for a while |

I'm not sure I've ever seen a CII 1 1/4" receiver for a KJ, all I've seen have always been a CIII 2". Our '05 Libby has a Chevy hitch on it |

I'd recommend going with either a factory Mopar harness or something like this http://www.etrailer.com/Custom-Fit-Vehicle-Wiring/Hopkins/42475.html |

Jparts.com "flat" 4-pin =$82.72 http://jparts.com/product_info.php?cPath=23_191&products_id=221&osCsid=i6c77hr3r6ln8f96bc3nr08ih6 7pin "round" http://jparts.com/product_info.php?cPath=23_191&products_id=222&osCsid=i6c77hr3r6ln8f96bc3nr08ih6 They may be more expensive that the aftermarket jobs, BUT I have not heard of any MOPAR harnesses going bad like numerous Uhaul and other aftermarket ones. I realize people are going to say my so ans so has been fine for 10 years...but this is all MHO. |

I am planning on pulling a boat 3.5 hours away tomorrow but have no trailer wiring as of right now. I won't see any cops on oh say, route 95 (the highway that runs from maine to florida), will I?? I ordered the harness from etrailer.com on monday and paid extra for 3day shipping. I ordered it at 3:20 central time on 7/25. Three day shipping!! Now UPS is saying that it won't be here until Monday 8/1...but I won't be home to get it!! Etrailer.com has assured me that UPS is wrong and that my package will be delivered today, however, it didn't go out until 7/26 during the evening and it sat in illinois for over a day doing nothing!! Three day shipping!! Now I'm going to have to drive to a place near boston to pick up a factory harness for 100 bucks just so I can pull the trailer. WTF?! |

AAP sells Hopkins so I will go see what they have or can get today. I assume even with this one you have to rua power wire from pass rear to driver front to the battery. |
