My Ac seems to be working intermitantly for no paticular reason. I took to a shop and they replaced the clutch fan and cleaned out all coils behind electric fan. The air doesw work better and is colder but the intermitant problem is still occurring.... any suggestions? Thanks David |

Wiring...check for rubbing or damage wires. I think someone else on here had that problem recently. |

I have a similiar problem. The system is fully charged, and the clutch kicks on for a few seconds at a time. The low pressure line gets cool and then warm cool and then warm. It's like the clutch isn't running enough Any ideas? |

Trying to diagnose a problem I had recently. Maybe it is the same as yours. Mine doesnt seem like it blows fast enough after a long drive. Almost like it is freezing up. It happened driving back from Colorado. Blows cold but just dosnt blow like the high setting should. Once I stop for 20 minutes it goes back to normal. |

I had a similar situation with my gasser. Brought it to the dealer 4 times, replaced condenser, recharged a few times and never remedied the problem. Finally my own mechanic took a look and diagnosed it right away. A line the ran along the passenger side that snakes around the engine bay has an inline filter that they said was clogged. You could feel the tube was cold and then midway was hot where the filter was. 70 dollar part replaced and the Ac was cold ALL the time, no more intermittent cooling. Thy also replaced the low pressure switch. It's been blowin cold now for over a year when it took the dealer 4 tries, and my mech fixes it the first time around! |
