Need rear hatch - tailgate - door for 2005 Liberty.

Well someone pushed my spare tire in and screwed up my rear gate. In a restaurant parking lot, the best part is I always park in the back to lower the chances of parking lot damage!
I need the rear hatch/tailgate or what ever its called. If I can find it cheap enough I want to try to get it repaired myself and not involve the insurance, don't want to make a claim if I can fix it for under $500.

I assume these rear doors are the same for liberty's from 2002 -2007 correct?

Sorry to hear that. Might check out some local junk yard or wrecking yards to see if they have a tailgate you could buy. It would be alot cheaper to get one from them than order one new. Just a thought. :juggle:

yeah i am looking around found one that I will have to paint for $150.. no too bad.
Am I correct thinking that years 2002-2007 are the same when considering the rear door - tailgate?

Yeah they should be the same. I can't see how they would be any different. :juggle:

I took off my rear spare tire for the same reason that happen to you. My Liberty is lifted, so if a can were to rear end me they would run into my hitch. Also my rear bumper is trimmed significantly (stupid mistake). Don't give up though, you'll find something.

There's always eBay! Otherwise, I would say your nearest pick-n-pull probably has a great selection. Fortunately for us, the LIberty sold like crazy, so the selection and availability of used parts is fantastic!
