Got a questions, I was looking at getting around to replacing my driver side powered mirror. I see there is an heater option. How hard would it be to add that option to my jeep? Seems simple, wire the heater option to a relay & switch and called it a day.

You'll have to buy the whole mirror. Everything is pre-wired and the harness will hook right up. It's wired to rear defroster switch.

Well that is simple enough. I'll order the heated mirror then. Might as well, wont hurt anything!

Thanks for the quick reply

While you're at it, you might as well buy one for the passenger side too.

Try UNeedAPart.com. I know they had them the last time I looked. Rock Auto does not have the heated ones.

A word of warning, the non OEM mirrors tend to shake while driving. If your going to replace your mirrors, stick with OEM parts.

I too am interested in replacing the factory power mirrors with OEM heated mirrors. In reading this thread I shouldn't have a problem since it's already wired and they will just plug in correct?

Thanks.
