Two jeeps and 7 windows later I've decided to find a lawyer. I found one that specialises in this type of case and he is interested in hearing from all that have a Jeep with the window problems. So get your parts purchase documents together, and installation bills. He is also going to sue for time lost while my Jeep was out of service. Anyone interested can contact him: Google his name and you will see that he takes on the automotive industry frequently. The more that contact him the stronger our case will be. Yes it maybe a class action suit but it might teach them not to mess with us Jeep folks. We like mud not crap. Law Offices of Howard A. Gutman, (near Routes 80 and 46) 230 Route 206, Suite 307 Mount Olive, New Jersey 07836 Directions to our office (973) 598-1980, E-mail Howian@aol.com Fax (973) 598-1982 |

Well my KJ has had one and my WJ has had one. The WJ was a $50 fix and 30minutes or less to fix and honestly if all I have to fix in a quick job like that Ill take it! |

I have had 14, but they have all been covered by Chrysler/Jeep so not much other than aggravation and time in shop. Looks like the last round of fixes has held up now that they changed the lift plate design. |

Well don't hold your breath, if its like anything that I've read or been involved with, it will take 5 years at least, and each person may get a few bucks, the lawyers though will each buy a new Mercedes or three Good luck and and I've had zero go bad |

I wish you luck, but for the simple fact that you can go to your local dealer and have all of them replaced for free, will make it a tough win. Things might be different where you live though. |

It will never fly as the Chrysler you must sue is no longer in business ,Fiat is protected from lawsuits and such for old Chryslers problems by a federal judge.Plus it is printed in the warranty manual that time lost due to repair is not covered or will be covered so your wasting your money trying to get that money back. Good luck, your going to need it and alot of $$$ for no return. |

The path of least resistance is to do nothing. It's not the money you might or might not get but the message you will send. It's says I'm feed up and not going to take it anymore. If nobody complains who knows what part they will try to screw us on next? Did you notice how many people had to complain before they did something? Do nothing, and expect nothing. |

Well being as I followed 2 class action lawsuits in the past one for a GPU and the other for an audi I mistakenly bought. The GPU settlement was a whopping $12...The audi I think was in the $50 range. Both more of an insult and plus took years to come to fruition. When lawyers get involved they drain the majority of the funds and pass what little is left to the people filing the suit. On that alone I wont support putting money into greedy lawyers pockets. Again fixing a window regulator in a jeep made in the 2000s is easy as pie, regulators with motors are cheap as dirt as well and if all I have to worry about on my jeep is window regulators as an Achilles heal well Ill take it. |

I am on 6 window changes myself, although Jeep as paid for all the parts and labor. Jeep admits the windows are doo doo so they did extend the factory warranties. |

Only for '06 and '07 KJ's.They might warranty case-by-case on older KJ's but don't hold your breath. Still have all 4 of my original regulators that my KJ came with from the factory. |

05/06 was entended to 7 years. My 04 originally was sold with a 7/70 warranty on everything from the factory. However year doesn't really matter if you are the original owner; just need to push on Chrysler/Jeep Customer Service. My 04 has been extended on the windows regulators for as long as I own the vehicle by Chrysler/Jeep. |
