So I changed my oil today with mobil 1 5w30, and I installed a new F106N fumoto valve for ease of future oil changes. However, the way the threading is, it ends up pretty much upside down (after fully tightening) than the correct upright orientation. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal, especially since I have the mopar skid protecting against a direct blow to the exposed valve. Has anyone experienced the same thing? Any suggestions? perhaps a thicker washer to change the final location?
The thing is pretty cool. It should make future changes a snap.
Thanks...

What do you mean by "upside down"? Are you referring to the location of the lever?

Here's mine, looking in from the driver's side.

Mine is similar as well. I would like that lever up higher, as shown in the website. I guess it is not that big of a deal. Next oil change I will see if I can find a slightly thicker washer in order to help it tighten where the lever will be high and out of reach/safe.I have the skid plate as well, so it really is not that big of a deal. It just drives me a little nuts :dizzy:

I've never worried about it. You can buy a spring clamp that will prevent the valve from opening if it gets snagged on brush or something. But if you're worried about rock damage, you're going to lose the whole valve wherever the lever is. Really unlikely you'll get rock contact if you have a skid on it.
