Hello all,

After carefully hand calculating MPGs based on the trip odometer and GPS, I seem to be getting about 14 MPG. My KJ has a 2.25" lift and 245/75/16 duratrac all-terrains and this almost all stop & go city driving. Recently I cleaned the K&N drop in, changed the spark plugs and ran a STP fuel system cleaner...seemed to bump me up from 12.5 MPG.

I'm not complaining, but rather wondering if this is the ballpark I should be in and if there is anything else I can do for an improvement. I used to drive a 2005 Grand Prix with the supercharged 3800 and I would get about 15-16 MPG (with a heavy foot mind you), but that was premium fuel. There probably aren't many people that have switched to a lifted Liberty 4x4 for a more economical vehicle.

Lovin' the Jeep so far. :JEEPIN:

If most all of it is in town / stop and go then you're in the ball park. Depends on how you take off etc, me its hammer down at lights and don't really care what the mileage is running in town
all highway 20-21 on a regular basis

The wifes 04 stock with 225 AT2s gets 20-21 highway and 18-19 around town on back roads where you get the occasional stop sign or blinking light. Overall the average is 20 mpg....we're almost never in 'city' driving conditions!!

On an almost related note, my 99 XJ with 4.88 gears and Q78 TSL super swampers gets 14-15 mixed highway/backroads driving to/from work (stop signs, 40-50 mph back rods, etc) but when I take it for a long highway haull I average 22-25 mpg doing 70 on the highway!!! Crazy, huh!!
