I am looking squeeze a bit more power out of my 3.7 now that I have an ARB hanging off the front. Is it worth it for a chip? Any thoughts on switching to a 180deg thermestat? If I swith the thermestat am I just going to kill fuel economy? Thoughts? |

Will kill mpg's and power with 180 t-stat,may also pop the MIL with code P0128 also.Unless you hit about 200 degrees your not going to go fully into closed loop status. |

4.10s will make a huge difference for sure, well worth the cost in the long run |

Would 4:10 be to much of a change with 245/75/16? will the MPG drop much? |

03CDKJ is running 4.10s and 265-70s same height basically as 245-75s and doing great , way more power for sure |

same reason using a pulley to lift a piano up to the second floor is easier than standing on the second floor with a rope and pulling it up hand over hand less work / strain we - for most intents and purposes - started out stock with 3.73 or higher ratio gears with 29"ish tires and most go up to 30.5 (245-75) or 31's or 31.5s or 32s bigger the tire, the higher, and farther away from the stock ratio you get. IMO they were barely low enough with 3.73s with 29" tires for my taste, but.. 4.10's would have seemed too low for most at a stock level - on the other hand.. with heavier vehicles, heavier tires, and larger / taller tires than what we came with stock, 4.10's bring it back into perspective very very well |

JarHead, Thanks, That makes sense. I was looking online and could only find front gear 4.10's (since this is my first attempt at changing gears I want to be sure. Do gears matter front to rear? In my head they do (but alot of things make sense in my head). Where do you get a matching set front and rear of 4.10's? |

Hard to find front 4.10s since only Spicer makes them for the D30A rears lots of companies make them but only a few are good |
