Something that's driving me nuts about my '06 Limited gasser... There seems to be no way to really keep the interior lights from turning on when you hit the unlock button and/or get inside. It does it automatically. I flipping hate this. Same with the headlights. Why do they need to stay on for awhile after I turn the Jeep off and walk away? It's completely retarded. I'm a security - concious person and I've always kept my interior lights to the Full Off position so they don't turn on when I open a door. I don't like sitting in my darn vehicle with the lights blasting on me at any time unless I do it manually. I especially hate it when it's very dark outside and I need to be able to see my surroundings. It says "HEY LOOK AT THIS GUY IN THIS TRUCK! SEE WHAT HE'S DOING RIGHT NOW! ROB HIM!" and same with the headlights... When I turn it off and get out, lock it and walk away, why does the world need to see my headlights blaring for another minute or two???!! "HEY THIS GUY JUST GOT OUT OF THIS TRUCK AND IS NOT LEAVING IT BEHIND!" 1) who cares? 2) those that do, you don't want them to know. |

Nothing you can do about the interior lights when using the keyfob. For the headlights you need to turn the lights off before you turn off the Jeep. |

or double flick the headlights (on off on off) as you're getting out will accomplish the same thing if you forget to turn them off before turning the jeep off. |

thanks, I figured out the headlight thing, but its a horriblely stuid design on the interior lighting. Maybe I should just swap the bulbs out for red ones. |

You can control the interior lighting. you just to have to rotate the left stalk backwards to the last click. Tue interior light will not turn on with the doors open or unlocked with the key fob. The only drawback is that the dash lights will dim as well. That usually doesn't bother me, unless you turn your lights on during the day, then you can not see the factory radio screen. If you have an aftermarket radio then it isn't a problem. |

^^ hes correct. I never turn my inside lights on unless I need to look for something. They never come on. Dash lights are dimmed but thats how I like it. |

I like the interior lights coming on. It gives me the opportunity to see if there's any machmen hiding in the back seat before I get in. |
