Post subject:  5 speed trouble
So I was heading home from Kansas City tonight stereo jamming and the jeep started acting funny. So I turned down the music and turned off the cruise downshifted to 4th. The trans was making some noise and then it just locked up. It will roll with the clutch in but other than that it won't move. I'm home but the jeep is still over half way to KC so I have to get a trailer and go back to get it tommorrow. :(

When was the last time you checked the fluid level in it, and/or changed the fluid. :JEEPIN:

Last owner had all the fluids changed last year. Jeep only has 81,000 miles on it. There is plenty of trans fluid all over the bottom of the jeep though. :lol: But your right I should of checked it myself. So now I need to figure out how much trouble it would be to upgrade to a 6 speed.
