Hey everybody, just bought a new used 05 Renegade the other day and within 10 minutes of driving off the lot the MIL came on with a code of P0452. Turned around and took it back to the dealer and they ran "diagnostics" on it and said it was the MAP sensor and they will take care of it when the part comes in. After getting home and researching it further nothing i found with that code has anything to do with the MAP. So far ive checked the vac lines for cracks etc. and replaced the fuel cap with no luck. Is there anything else I can check for this. Jeep seems to be running just fine..... Thanks

Gas cap can cause this problem. Either loose or just bad. There are several hoses that connect to the evap canister just in front of the gas tank that can crack or get small leaks and cause this also. Usually isnt much to worry about. Ive gotten it a couple of time and reset it, never came back. Must of been me not tightening my gas cap enough.

All the hoses seem to look ok and arent loose. I replaced the fuel cap with a brand new one also and reset the code. stays off until the 2nd key cycle then pretty much comes on right when i start the vehicle so didnt know if it could just be a sensor or something.

Got it fixed. Was the natural vacuum leak detection pump.
