Hi guys,

I know I've seen pictures like this before, and I thought I saved them, but I can't find them. But anyway, does anyone have any pictures of a Liberty with the spare tire removed? Also, any more information on this would be great, like have you done this before? was it easy? how did you do it? how do you get rid of the hardware? is it recommended? I'm thinking of taking off my spare, but what kind of body work will be needed once its off to make it look like it was never there!

So many questions....

Thanks!
-Patrick.

I saw pictures that the owner left the bolts protruding threw and just put the chrome lugs on them. Some have gone to the trouble to remove them. The bracket is easy to remove if you want to see first hand how it looks

They look lke a Durango the spare is removed, not that is a bad thing. But the problem lies in the three options you have if you remove it.

1. Don't carry a spare. ( Not a good idea )

2. Take up interior space with the spare. (like we have the space to spare, pardon the pun)

3. Mount it on the roof. ( hard to get to and doesn't help with fuel economy or center of gravity when on the trail)
