I have a defender roof rack on it but couldn't lift the deer that high by myself. It's all good, just a little blood on the carpet to give my woody a little more character......

I know what you mean. I have a really good spot to shoot a bear, but it’s going to be challenging to haul him/her out of the mountains. I’m either going to buy or build a high clearance (firewood/game) trailer so I can haul the bear out. I’m would like to take a nice 300 pounder and use my winch to get the bear onto the trailer. Here’s something similar to what I’m looking to buy/build, click on the link below.

I have to build some type of platform on top of the trailer so I can haul out mule deer and elk.

After getting help getting my buck on top of my ZJ, I want to get a hitch rack. Seen another Jeep hauling a deer on one. Makes more sense to lift it a couple feet onto a hitch rack than a roof rack.
