Are my rotors supposed to be loose on the hub studs? I had them cut recently, took them off and had the shop cut them for me. Put them back on and they just seem loose. Caliper is bolted down but I can move the rotor and the studs will shift and if I unbolt the caliper the rotor just hangs loose. I am just trying to track down the noise/vibration I have been getting on my jeep and wasnt sure if this was normal. thanks |

If you just reinstalled them yes they will be loose until one, the piston is pushed back out to where they set at two, you install the wheel back on As far as noise are the bolts and everything tight, mounting clips are they needing replaced ? This can cause some noises as well, little vibration type noise |

Thanks, I am going to have the balance checked on my tires this weekend. The steel wheels are a PITA and have been a problem ever since I got them, and stupid me just put a new set of tires on them. I don't care how many weights they throw at it as long as it rides down the road smooth. |
