I'm glad I'm not the only one who saw this. You can call Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403 in regards to case #L27 and give them the last 8 numbers of your vin to find out if your jeep is under recall or not. Luckly mine isn't under recall :D

Totally agree , mine are good as new no rust at all, bushings went bad but arms never rusted. Of course I wash under mine all the time

I have a monthly unlimited wash plan a local auto complex. for $20 per moth per vehicle I can go as many times as i want through the automatic wash tunnel that includes under carriage wash and a use of the vacuums.

I go nearly every week.... more often if salt or brine has been put out. seriously its easy to keep it clean for me like that.

No rust here either but it has gone bad so here is hoping I am in the recall so i don't have to replace it at my exspense.

Yep.

Below is a pic of mine right before the SFA swap,8 years worth of abuse.Besised being bent no rust, heck if you notic the srcapes from the last wheeling trip over 1.5 years before have not even rusted.

Granted my KJ was undercoated right of the transport truck, state law for every new vehicle sold in my home state, and of course I wash it every sunday no matter what.

I just spoke with Chrysler/Jeep via the 1-800 number; this recall doesn't actually go into effect until the end of April. My lower control arms are fine, but I'm with Audiboy in hoping that my Liberty is covered in the recall...New control arms would mean new bushings, for free!!!

This might be a silly question, but would a lift affect the recall when you go to the dealership? Just curious.....

It can and may effect them covering the replacement.

Better make sure that swaybar is on also as that right there may kill any chance of getting them replaced for free.

hopefully mine is covered. I'm not the original owner, I take good care of it. However, the bushings are going bad. Free replacement is always a good thing. :)

So what happens if someone that bought a Liberty in California moved to Michigan?

If my understanding of the wording is correct, vehicles that are currently registered in, or originally sold in "rust belt" states are covered.
