I'm in the process of changing the Transfer case switch and couldn't figure out how to release the connector that goes to the t.case switch. I see a tab but pulling it out does nothing to ease the release of the connector, and putting it inwards doesn't either. What's the correct way to get it off? |

If you're talking about the cheap white plastic part connected to the end of the shift cable, it has a black rubber bushing inside that just slides onto/off of the selector pin. It should slide off from passenger side to drivers side. I think you just need need some more force. Mine kept popping off by itself, until I reengineered it Edit... Never mind, you're talking about wiring connectors. Those things are a pain... |

I couldn't get it off for anything! I pulled the tab and everything but it wouldn't budge. It's almost like it's seized. I'm not sure what to do at this point.

some of the connectors have a flat spot under the tab that you expose when you pull the tab back. Press on it firmly as you gently but firmly pull back on the connector. Good luck. |
