Post subject:  No cruise control

Well after my gear swap I replaced a few sensors the rear axle being the first and both front hubs were replaced. So all my ABS sensor have been replaced but I still have a check engine light and no cruise. When I scan it I get the A/B abs sensor code. Can someone please help me because I got about a 1600 mile round trip coming and it won't be fun without cruise. Also I had to of the same code logged into my computer and deleted them with Advance autos handheld. And drove about 15 or 20 miles or so before the check engine light kicked back on and my cruise kicked off.

Did you check for continuty in the wiring between the sensors and the controller? You may have new sensors, but if you have a break in the wiring somewhere, it is not going to matter.

The sensor and wire is all one unit and if it were one of the wheel speed sensors the abs light would be on. After some research into it I have come down to one of two sensor the one that controls the master cylinder or the one that detects the brake pedals position.

Check your trailer wiring harness. I had the internals of mine melt together and would not allow me to actually set my cruise control. Easy check to do is to disconnect the wiring harness pigtails and just reconnect just your lights and go for a drive. I am unsure if that would also cause an ABS code to be thrown, it did not with mine.

If I remember correctly the pigtails were accessible from behind the tail lights.

Well found something all to simple to solve it apparently my stop light fuse was blown. Some how this effects my cruise control and i get the P0504 code. And some how cranking my car with no fluid in the brake fluid res. did this. All i have to say is thank you chrysler and if anyone else out there has this problem I have Chrysler troubleshooting guide. Thank you Mr. Parts guy think my dealer finally got a good one. Now only if there service department would get better.
