Is this bad to wire up a switch to turn your electric fan on and off? I have the scan guage and my coolant temp gets up to 218 degrees before the fan comes on and brings it down to 190. I was figuring if i hooked up a switch to the fan to make it come on when i wanted it to it would keep my engine cooler. What do you all think?

Chris

218 degrees is not hot. Leave it alone, it's working properly!

When Im off roading I un-hook the AC compressor and turn the fan on low inside, it makes the fan come on and stay on. Works great but when you meed ac you must pop the hood.
