I first saw "snake" and thought
"How did a snake get inside his door?" :ROTFL:

Sounds like a cable broke (not sure on the components inside the door)...but I suggest not trying to roll it down anymore.

Pull the door panel off and take a look. Agree on not rolling the window down until you see what the problem is tho.

I am having the same problem with the "snack" cable popping up between the window and the frame. Just curious what the problem ended up being and how difficult/expensive it is to fix.

Thanx...

Hopefully 501 will chime in soon. I know Steiger's fix wont and wouldn't do a darn thing for his and it sounds like the same thing that has happened to his. It's the plastic sleeve that goes over the cable that cracks and or breaks. He has ducted taped it and it has worked quite well for some time, then it broke again in a different place and he used gorrilla tape this time on the whole darn thing :jester: Like I said I hope he chimes in and fills ya in better.

Yeah the steiger kit is for the slide and not the cable.

Sorry to resurrect a zombie but... I nearly crashed into the woods when I tried to put the front passenger side window down a few weeks ago and saw a snake crawling up the glass!

Does anyone have anything new to add on the fix for this? How much, how difficult? I'm already debating whether to pony up the $130 for the part to replace the worn out latch on the rear lift glass... been riding around with a beach towel stuffed in between the spare tire and the glass to keep that closed for two years now!

You have to replace the whole regulator,no way around it and that stieger type fix will do nothing for your problem.
