I just ordered one for 63 bucks shipped. Says it will hold 200lbs and weighs less than 20 lbs. I'll keep you posted on how it looks and such. http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi ... id=1732464 Parakeet[/list] |

I just got the wife's mounted and they do look pretty good. It's a little lighter duty than I expected but for the price you can't beat it...I think have a couiple of pics posted see the Jeep. |

How do you plan to mount that to the oversize roof rails on the renegade? |

I bought the same one and tried to mount it with u-bolts. No workie. I ended up buying the Jeep crossrails and it works perfect. $146 at jparts.com |

Did it come with the mounting hardware and do you have to have the factory cross rails to mount it ? |

The basket does come with hardware to mount it. But you do need crossrails to run between your siderails first. www.prolineracks.com sells crossrails for HALF the price of Mopar, Yakima, etc. I'm going to try and fabricate some of my own cross rails tomorrow. To me, having to spend $150.00 on cross rails would ruin the great deal I got on the basket. Then my next project will be how on earth to mount off-road lights to the basket, and how to run a CB antenna wire inside the cab from the basket. |

http://www.kchilites.com/store/ATV-Brac ... 1C122.aspx These brackets might work for installing lights to this basket. If I can't fab up any cross bars I'm going to just buy the prolineracks.com crossbars for $69.95. Then I'll still have less money in my basket and crossbars than some of these guys have in just crossbars alone. |

I'm still waiting for it too get here so I don't know how I'm going to mount it. I'm sure I can figure something out. Besides I have the connections at the dealership. I got the Mopar hitch for my KJ for 75.00. So we'll see when it gets here. Parakeet |

To mount it just run some flat steel stock across attached with u-bolts on either end or do like I did and drill trough the main bars and run 3/4 inch all thread sits it down lower to the roof. I hate to see those that are 6/7 inches above the roof. Mine was simple, cheap and it works and I can stand on top of it so it will hold all my gear. Have with the basket maybe 75 total plus my own time |

If you can post some pics that would be awesome . . . especially if it's lower to the roof . . . my biggest concerns are for clearance! Thanks! |
