What is the recommendation for timing belt replacement for an 06 CRD? |

You will get more input in the CRD Love That Torque portion of the forum. Also your question needs to be more specific as to what recommendation: 1. belt brand to use 2. change interval - miles vs. years. 3. how to do the job or who to have do the job |

I'm just interested in the change interval. |

100000 miles. I think that is 160km. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2 |

us the consensus on this board is around 100K and absolutely no more that 125K. I just did mine at 100K. |

I may be a bit conservative but I wouldn't go more than 110,000 if that. Belts are cheap but rockers are expensive. On a related note Sir Sam and I chatted a while back and both of us are inclined to pay a bit of attention to time in addition to miles although that belt is mostly enclosed. My 05 is now ca 7 years old with just over 45,000 miles so in an abundance of caution, maybe more than I need, I'm probably going to throw on a new timing belt (not idlers/tension/WP unless bearings are iffy) at 48,000 miles when I do a new serpentine belt. |

You are insane! (or a secret old woman) |

I'm in the same position as Papaindigo - 05 with about 46k. Most replacement recommendations that I've seen over the years are based on mileage OR time. if you have a 12000 mile oil change interval but only do 4k pa, the usual recommendation is STILL to have an annual change, not wait 3 years And yes, while I am indeed as old as dirt |

Don't change it yet, I did mine at 110,000 miles and it was still in perfect condition. |

Mine also looked excellent at 100k. Hopefully, the gates replacement will look as good on 90k when I have to replace it and the water pump |
