So this was the first week in 10 years that I did not drive my jeep. I need some support. Over the last 1 my ac went, brakes are worn, I need an exhaust and a new clutch soon. Being that I was putting so much money into keeping my jeep running I decided to get a new car. I will be transitioning my KJ from a daily driver to a weekend toy. This opens up a new world of modifications that I get to play with. After I make the required fixes over time, where do I go from there? This is a new territory for me so I am excited to hear what everyone has to say. Btw I got a 2012 Mazda speed 3 some speed and handling is a nice change of pace but I still love and miss driving my jeep. |

A few word of advice: DO NOT SELL IT! I cant even look at a KJ without getting a bit upset and I sold mine months ago... |

Im not selling it. One of the reasons why Im marrying my girlfriend (now fiance) is because she wont let me seel it. Aside from me loving it, she loves it as well! What else after lockers? |

No ideas but the idea of the KJ being a buggy is pretty cool. |

What's your budget, and what do you plan on using it for? Are u planning on beach cruising, rock crawling, or stump jumping? U could put put a solid front axle, full exo cage, and a v8 in if the funds are there.... Right now, you can go pretty much anywhere a stock wrangler can go. I'm assuming you have a full set of skid plates.? Winch, snork, JBA steel front diff, rear diff guard...? Lockers will get u the most bang for your buck as far as capability goes, but if you don't have skids and a solid rear diff cover, you probably don't want to go anywhere that you'll need lockers. |

That's some good advice. Right now its basically a beach cruiser. I would eventually like to take it on some trails b ut nothing major. I think maybe next will be a solid diff cover. I still have the AC exhaust and brakes to fix first of course. this is going to be a year over year project but I will keep all posted. Right now I just miss driving it everyday. but the drive of a fast car is a bit addiciting. |
