I was looking for a digital media head unit for my XJ when I came across this: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158DSX210X ... ml?tp=5684 This would be great for those of you who off-road or hate wires. Your ipod and/or iphone fits inside the unit using the tune tray. |

That is kinda cool if you are an iPod/iPhone user. it claims to have a standard usb port but I wonder how well that would work for android? |

I've bought 3 different head units from Crutchfield in the past few months. (2 JVC, & a Kenwood) All have the USB port for iPod / iPhone, and all work flawlessly. My wife has plugged her Android into mine with no problems. |

I have purchased many things from Crutchfield as far back as the 1990's they are great and truely be support every thing they sell. I bet if I still had the tape deck i got from them when I was 18 for my Ford I could call and ask for help installing it in anything I'd happen to own. So how did the stereo see the android as a phone and let you control its music player like the ipod kits or just let you see and play the media on the phone's SD card ? |
