So I have accumulated quite a few pinstripes, on my off road travels.
I understand that's what I bought the Jeep for and I think it gives it character.
Unfortunately my wife doesn't see it that way. She doesn't understand why I would do what I'm doing to a vehicle that is less than a year old, I don't either for that matter, its just fun :jester: . So every time I come back from a trip there are a few more scratches, and she gets a little more upset :furious:.
I have tried the "Turtle Wax Premium Grade Polishing compound" for light to medium oxidation, swirl marks, & scratches and it did absolutely nothing.
Other than Rhino lining the whole thing (that comes much later) does anybody have any tips.

A good quality rubbing compound, NOT polishing compound can do wonders, as long as the "pinstripes" aren't to deep.

The McGuires Scratch-X didn't work on mine so don't bother with that. Mine are still there and I got another the other day. It's a lost cause for me.

Thanks all for the advice. I just bought the turtle wax rubbing compound. It seems to be helping with some of the very faint scratches, I'm afraid I'm going to have to wet sand some of the deeper ones. I'm going to try using an electric buffer with the rubbing compound, maybe I'll get better results.

I can't wait until I can bedline the whole thing  . But I will miss my pretty green paint.

I used a medium cut rubbing compound which would break down to fine grit when the need to remove the clear coat scratches arose. I picked it up from a napa like parts/paint shop. After a few hours of rubbing I think twice when I come up on a skinny trail.
