 Post subject: 06 crd power steering filter

Location: Vincennes indiana
I replaced my power steering pump on my crd but now it makes a whining noise when turning at idle. Is it true there is a filter and if so where is it. Thanks for input in advance

Why did you change the pump?
I'm told that the bulge in the high pressure p/s hose under the fan shroud is a filter/muffler and is part of the hose.
