So I have one of those little Libertys from Matchbox (green with mud splatters on it). Today I decided to paint it to match my Red '03 Sport. Now I can put it on my dash and have it as a good luck charm.

And I thought I was mad for buying a 1/24 scale rubi, so I can steel the wheels off it so the 1/24 scale KJ I have would look like mine. We have the fever real bad! Al |

So have you decided on a lift for it? |

Those wheels actually are much beefier than the regular ones. (I put one of those and a older Matchbox KJ side by side and the new one definately has a lift) |

Hey I never thought about repainting it. I had found a Liberty matchbox at Wal-Mart before, but the graphics were so stupid that I didn't buy it. I miss Hot Wheels and Matchbox making the cars look exactly like the real deal. |

I painted my New Brite R/C liberty to look like mine. I am glad I am not the only one, my wife thinks I am nuts though. |

My problem is not painting it, finding one that is an 2005+ Renegade with the Flat hood. I'm not going to buy a "bug eye" matchbox or whatever and paint it to look like mine, when it just doesn't look like mine. |

HAH! I made one of the black matchbox ones into a 256 meg usb memory stick! And talkin about painting, I got one of the larger scale Maisto ones, dissasembled the body off of it and convinced my bodyshop guy to spray it Cactus Green when he repaints and fixes my body damage! |

Your color is Salsa Red, btw. You're right though, you'll be hard pressed to find a toy one in that color. |
