My stock jack is shot so what should I repalce it with? Since I don't have rock rails, are hi-lifts out of the question, if so what are my other options? B.T.W. I have the Frankenlift on 30's with hitches in front & back. |

B.T.W. I have the Frankenlift on 30's with hitches in front & back. Cant use hi-lift without rock rails, maybe you could on the front hitch, but its not safe. I would buy a 4ton bottle jack, best jack out there besides a floor jack. |

Highlifts are usefull when you get high-centered. just lift up a tire and stack rocks under it. set it back down and drive away. I would suggest a bottle jack if it's only used once in a while, and a floor jack if you do allot of your own maintanence... I have all 3 |

You can use hi-lifts with out rock rails. There is an attachment that can be purchased that will grab onto the spokes of the rim. It is called the lift-mate. Here is the link to it on hi-lift's web site. http://www.hi-lift.com/products/liftmate.htm I carry a bottle jack with me. I got stuck once with out my hi-lift, high centered. I tied using my stock jack to lift me off this sand burm. After several tries, I broke my jack. |

My main concern right now is for trail use. Will a bottle jack suffice or would the hi-lift with Lift Mate be the better bet? I checked the bottle jacks at Summit racing and they only have max. lift heights of 16 to 17". I just measured and it's 16" to the pinch weld, 11" to the Super Skid (lowest point more or less). That would only get me 5" off the ground max... I think I might have just answered my own question. I should just go ahead and get rock rails but I cringe at the thought of even worse gas mileage if that's even possible |

Thats the highest ground clearance Ive heard of. 10 is the most Ive seen. Something I found out the other day is, a stock suburban has 12" of ground clearance! My jeep only has 8". |

I got a 6 Ton bottle jack in a case for $16.00 from Wal-Mart. It works fine under the rear axle and the front A-Arm for changing tires on a lifted Liberty. |

Even with the OME suspension and the os tires, I still use my stock jack. To get the extra height needed, I place it on the big molded plastic base sold for the Hi-Lift. |
