Does anyone have any experience with Reflex struts? The price is about the same as Ranchos and I can get them locally.

My driver side Rancho strut is getting mushy after 16 months and 11,000 miles.

Thats all I'll use, on all my vehicles. I put "Reflex" on within the first 5K miles. They make a big diff. Ranchos are made by the same company and may be better suited.

A shock can last 1 day or many years depending on "everything" , Can you take it back and get a replacement?

Let me know if you need the rear part number, but its a 02 dodge durango

I looked into using the monroe version of the struts and while the shell is the same, the valveing is a lot lighter and not as heavy-duty. This was right out of Tennico's Engineering dept.

Glad you asked that question about Monroes, had been on my mind also since (a) could buy it locally (b) no shipping/waiting (c) if I ever need another one could get that day instead of waiting a week or so.
My thoughts were OME spring and Monroes all around, but it looks as if they are lighter duty then would not work as well.
Thanks to macgyver for commenting on that

What is "rancho's" version of the Reflex???? Could it be the RSX with "Patented reflex valve"?

Which version of Rancho is being considered for stock vehicles with high roll over rate to help them pass national safety test???

I can't find the page where Rancho list the specs for the RSX?

http://www.gorancho.com/products/shocks/RSX.stm

http://www.monroe.com/products/mp_detai ... 0Absorbers

All shocks wear out...I like to get a decent shock with lifetime war-n-t and swap em out fairly often, availability is key for me too.

They are both great shocks.

I can testify that I have them on my chevy truck and my neighbor has RSX's on his chevy truck. He has replaced the fronts twice in 2 years and we have both ridden Mucho (daily) on the same nasty ranch roads.

So the1jferg are you running a lift or stock? Just wondering if that would make a difference. Availability and lifetime warranty are things I look at when I purchase. I plan on having the KJ a long time, just like my old 96 Cherokee with over 245,000 miles on it now so I want long service or warranty with whatever I put on.

So did you notice a big dirfference over the stock? Also wahts the difference between Reflexs and Sensatracs? Just wondering

John,
I ordered the Rancho's from All J's, so I'll have to call them to see if there was any kind of warranty on them.

Roger that, both have lifetime war-n-t, and I use it.

TomMudd, Yeah, I'm lifted. That durango thing is for lifted rear, otherwise use the KJ part#

"So did you notice a big difference over the stock?" You betcha...BIG

I think the reflex is better than sensatrac.

When I used Rancho's, I just got'em at sears so I had no Flack and could swap them locally.
