Good to go

I'll take it in diesel. We'll see what transmissions they'll offer.

Word is that it uses the ZF 9HP 9 speed transmission.

They haven't came out with anything in the past 5-6 years that turns my eye enough that it opens my checkbook

It sounds like you KJ guys like your KJ's better than the KK, and I love my KK (previous XJ owner, and I loved that too-- guess I like the boxy Jeep look). We are all cautious about this new Cherokee. Everyone thinks their own baby is the best. I think it's because we've all built our rigs and put lots of time, money, and sweat into making them ours. There surely will be pros and cons of this new Cherokee, but it will hopefully develop its own following of loyal fans and modders too. Hopefully we'll add a new section for them on LOST. And I'm sure OME and JBA will adapt! :P

For me, the KK just never hit me right . I had 3 XJs so while I liked them the KK never a favorite for me. One reason i never bought one. Was hoping they'd come out with some thing better.
I think this one will do fine, theres a market for it, it "should" go most everywhere most want or need to take one. I may even be able to talk my wife into one when she returns

There isn't enough fire in the world to kill this thing. I think it's hideous. But everyone has their own opinion.
