Look what I just bought off a friend for $30!
I couldnt find anything else, so I stuck the lawnmower on it! The jeep sags a 1/4in with just the carrier. Id say it sags about 1 1/2-2in with the lawnmower and me on it(150lbs). Id say the lawn mower weighs about 100-125lbs? Idk, I can pick it up and carry it on my sholder kinda easy, sucks when the building is full of crap! And the mower is in the back of it!
Ohh, he said be bought it at lowes for $50. It has a 500lb limit, I dont think my libby with the ome lift could handle that. The stock springs seemed to do alot better with weight. Does anyone know anything about lawn mowers? I cant get the thing to start and idk if its getting a spark. Im going to wait till me dad gets home to hold the spark plug and see if he can see a spark. I know gas is all over the plug when I pull it, so its getting gas just fine. |

That's pretty cool and not a bad price either. As far as lawnmowers... Not a clue, I only used an electric mower and a push mower. *I've never had a big yard* |

that looks like a Lawn Boy, make sure you use fresh gas and a quality two cycle oil mixture in the gas. Assuming it is a 2 stroke motor on it |

Pop off the wire and use a screwdriver to see if it's getting a spark. It wont shock you...but you'll see or here the little crack if you're getting a spark. I had to do that everytime with my old lawnmower..... |

Its a 4stroke KJScott. Thats what I was going to do FL RENNY. The boot that goes onto the spark plug come off and I couldnt line the wire back up with the little metal thing in the boot. I took it to get a new coil and they didnt have one. The CRAZY old lady said she fixed it and I have no clue how she did it! I cannot pull the boot back off, idk what the heck she did to it. Im going to check with a multi meter if its getting good current. Then Ill move on to a bad coil. |

Doesn't LawnBoy have a livetime warranty, will start on 2 pulls or they fix it. |

Never heard of that one? I do not think its ever started on two pulls. Maybe if I pump the little primer thing 30 times. |

Great rack for the price. I was thinking about getting one. For the lawn mower, check the spark plug gap. If the gap is to large, it may not generate enough of a spark to ignite the gas. |

Lawn boys are typical for the primer bulb getting a crack in it and then not priming. They are cheap to replace. |

You may also want to pull the air filter off...it is probably chock full of gunk. If you are getting gas (you said plug was wet) and you are getting a spark then the air is probably the problem. Try starting with the air filter off. My lawn-boy (2cyl though) is always tough to start 1st time after winter. I usually push primer 10 or 15 times before pull starting a ½ doz times or more. Once you get the LBs going one or two pulls is all it ever takes during the season. Heck it only takes a ½ to start it once the engine is warm. |

Along with getting the boot fixed on the coil, I got a new air filter and spark plug. I also tried to start it with the filter off. I didnt get a chance to see if it was getting a spark, will do today when I have help. |

you probably have water in the fuel, if it sits out side. |

I run them dry every fall. I put gas in it that stays in the building. The lawn mower was in the building also. |

great buy on the rack. now if you had a front receiver hitch on the Liberty you would have more room to put things on it and would not have to remove your load off to open the back door. |

I think this thread has moved to fixing my lawn mower. I found out that it is getting spark, I can smell gas coming out of it and the spark plug is wet when you take it out. What the heck it going on here? Im thinking of just taking it down and getting it fixed. hillcountrykj, idk if those front springs could hold much weight, would look really weird also with that rack on the front also. |

Did I read that you did run it dry of fuel when you put it away? Did u use a fuel stabilizer? If not poor fuel may be the problem. Try dumping all the old fuel out- including the fuel in the line, and if possible also the carburetor float bowl. If you have never done that before look online for instructions. Then put fresh fuel(just purchased- not the stuff thats been sitting around in the garage for a while) and try again. Let us know how it goes. |

That fixed it. It was water. Took the boil off and saw water in it, also had water in the tank. Drained everything and it fired right up. Put a new blade on it, filter, fixed the spark plug boot, I think its ready to go for the summer. May need a new drive belt also, Ill just wait for it to break to replace it. |
