I downloaded all of the HD broadcast videos and B-roll's plus the full Rez press photos I plan to make something with them

Not liking it. I watched the off road vid, and the back tires barely drop. It had a tire in the air way too much because of it...

Unfortunately, they need to sell a crapload of product in other categories in order to keep things like the Rubicon available. (Although those sell better than they thougth they would) That offroad video, which for most of us looks like a standard trip into the old hunting camp, is probably more than 90% of people who own an SUV will ever do. I have two staff members that both drive Toyotas. A TRD Tacoma and a 4Runner, and neither know what 4 lo is even for. It will be plenty capable in it's segment, which is what we need to remember.

I like it, if I could change two things it would be the headlights (just too narrow, i.e. Nissan Juke like) and, of course, put in a diesel :)

I doubt I will convince my wife to get one, she really wants third row seating which will mean only one Jeep family.

I think it's FUGLY!!!

That thing should have a Fiat badge not :JEEPIN: Looks to me like it would get stuck on a wet lawn.

Thought Sergio would have better sense than to bastardize the brand... This ain't no Cherokee in my book.

My :2cents:

Gotcha, I was hoping the Cherokee not Grand Cherokee gets a small diesel ;)

They haven't released any prices yet. And that's WAY too high for a guess.

I would guesstimate that the base model will come in at $20k- $22k, and the Trailhawk at $26k- $28k.

I'm heading to the show later today(living 30min from NYC has its bonuses lol). I'll let you all know what I really find out about it and if it looks better in person(HIGHLY doubt it....).

Here's the trailhawk addition: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hcTtoN8kPJo

I'm still not impressed. I think it's probably a well built machine, it's just not what I would call a Jeep Cherokee replacement.

I'd get a Latitude or if I had the $$, a Trailhawk. The more I see it, the more the look grows on me.
It would be a perfect vehicle for our needs.

Still just as ugly in person. Trailhawk isn't as bad, but it's more like a polished turd lol

I do to think I am not mistaken but I have been on that trail where the Cherokee is wheeling. Broken Arrow in Sedona, Az. A very fun but easy (2.5 out of 5) trail with beautiful views. The Pink Jeep Tour guys go through there with loads of tourists. My KJ with 1" lift has no problem except for a gatekeeper that always catches my fuel tank skid with a hard scrape. Cherokee at that height would have gobs of trouble-- it will hit all that plastic front. How did they get it over without carnage? A crane perhaps ?
Chrysler as well as other manufacturers have lots of proving grounds and use public roads and trails here for testing all the time. Would have loved to seen this Cherokee on the road !!
