Hello all,
Trying to get some measurment info on safari/roof racks. One website I've visited during my research says that an '05 Libo uses a 45' x 50' rack. There is brand new Surco on CL for $125, but it measures 45' x 60'. Opinions? Is this too big? Will it look ridiculous?
Also, any info on lights/light bars for it would be swell as well.

Thanks,
Logan.

Sorry if this is posted somewhere else, as I am at work and in a hurry to swoop this deal up before it disappears.

I assume you mean roof basket as the OEM roof bars just run from side to side and are about 46.5" long. I glanced at the Surco catalog and also assume that what you are looking at is 45" wide by 60" long. Looking around I've found other KJ roof baskets up to 55" long and wouldn't think 60" would be too long EXCEPT if you have a sunroof it might interfere with opening the sunroof depending on how far forward and how low it mounts.

Sunroof slides into the roof (not over and on top)...so no probs there. The wind buffer thing at the front of the sunroof that comes up is real short, the rack would have to like a 1/2" above the roof to cause an issue. IMO

You can raise the sunroof (the back part) it might not always with a roof rack...
