wont start

I have a 2005 limited
Last night while driving the heater blower stopped working along with the signal lights and the reverse lights and the airbag light came on ? Every thing seemed to work except when I shut it off it wouldn't start again .. every thing powered on but no click ..nothing ??
Any one have any ideas ?

I assume you've checked the battery and made sure its OK?
They do some real quirky things when the battery goes bad

I agree! i would check the battery first and your ground. if that is fine ild start looking for a bad fuse but i put my money on battery.

battery is good and fuses checked ... still no go

If the battery and battery connections, including negative cable to chassis and grounding strap between engine and chassis, are good then I would suspect the actuator pin that operates the ignition switch has broken...lots of post on this problem and it really seems to be happening a lot lately on all the KJ forums!

so I checked the ignition pin and it was fine , checked the fuses under the hood again and found one burnt so I changed it out .
Tried to start it and it seemed the battery was dead so I put the boost pack on it and it still wouldn't start , went to adjust the booster cables and when I turned back to the door smoke was rolling out of the window ... it was burning !!!!
I immediately un hooked the cables and turned off the ignition ( stupid me) ! I don't know what caused and its now in the hands of the insurance but I will let the form know what happened when I find out .

wow that sounds like a bad short. do you know where the smoke was coming from? sounds like a possible ignition wire short in the cab

Well all has been fixed !
It was a short in a wire under the dash running down to the kick panel , a wire got pinched behind the metal clip !?
Insurance covered it all with no deductable !!!!
Going to pick it up on Monday from the collision center.
