It's really been my day today. Got TWO flats and had to use that POS scissor lift. Luckily I had jack stands in the jeep, as well as there being cinder blocks nearby that I used to chock the wheels. Both rear tires had giant nails in them.

I went and got them fixed (for now), and upon returning to the Jeep, it was on the concrete. Both jack stands appear to have fallen forward, the cinder blocks in front of the wheels are crushed, and the scissor lift appears to have completely failed. This is on a flat, stable, concrete surface. I have no idea WTF happened.

I have managed to get the jeep back on the jack stands with a real jack. Both repaired wheels/tires are back on the jeep and I have it ready to go, but it will not start.

It turns over endlessly like it is not getting gas. I have checked the fuses and swapped out the relay, to no avail.

Can anyone help? I don't even know where to start.

EDIT: I have checked;

Both fuel pump fuses, fuel pump relay, ASD relay and ASD fuse.

About to drop the tank and check things out in there.

EDIT 2:

Dropped tank, scissor jack smashed the fuel pump basin up.

Anyone know where to get a quality one that is decently priced?

DENSO Part # 9533060 - from rockauto.com - $179 - good deal/decent pump?

Here's a picture to help everyone realize why we need a gas tank skid plate (if only my wife had let me buy one already)

As an update, I've ordered a new one off rockauto. Denso. Hope it's a good one, I need it asap.

Upon a lot of thinking, I can't see what I did wrong that caused it to fall. It fell when I wasn't around so I didn't see it. It appears that the cinder blocks cracked and broke somehow and the jeep shifted forward enough to make the jack stands unstable, and it fell. When it did that, somehow the scissor jack ended up being under the gas tank, right in the middle, where the fuel pump is.

The bottom float portion of the fuel pump is destroyed and the actual plastic that holds the pump itself is totaled.

Never trust cinder blocks, jack stands are to inexpensive to take that risk.

Time to invest in some nice HD rubber wheel chocks.

I have some chocks like that I can get from work, but where I got the flat tires I didn't have much of a choice since I don't carry chocks in the Jeep (which I will have to change).

The Cinder blocks I used were not the plane ones, they were some fancy designer ones. Apparently not as strong. The got turned into dust by the Liberty and nobody was around so I am almost positive there was no foul play or anyone messing with my Jeep, it did it on it's own.

Cinder blocks = no go.
Factory scissor jack = no go.

TJ - what kind of jack do you carry?
