how much larger is the mounting depth when installing component speakers on the KJ? will i need to drill into the door to get the appropriate space to install components? thanks

What so you mean drill holes? To make room for more depth? That just depends on the speaker. My pioneer clears just fine. Drilled new holes to mount the speaker though.

Tweeters go in the dash. Thats what makes it 'component.'
