After just under two years, and the addition of an ARB bumper, the front of my Liberty currently sits at 21.5 inches, just 1/2 inch shorter than when the Frankenlift front suspension was installed. How difficult would it be for me to add a couple conduit rings (OK... Three) to level the front?? (The back is still at 22.5, so 3 conduit nuts should yield 22.25 in the front, yes?) Is it necessary for me to tear into the suspension completely, or can I just drop the clevis and install the rings??? I'm due for an alignment check anyway (Thank you Firestone lifetime alignment), so I thought if was a quick and easy install, I'd just go ahead with it. I know you can just loosen the clevis nut and "create" a 3/8 inch gap and re-tighten, but I'd feel better with the spacers in place. Thoughts???? |

Spacers ( conduit nuts) don't do anything at all except make sure you have the same height on both sides BEST way is to loosen the bottom of the clevis and drop it down to where you want it. Some pry the spring up enough but its a PITB to do that way. 3 rings give you 3/4 of an inch lift |

It really helps to be able to spread the clevis. What I've done is disconnect the sway bar links to help the lca drop more, remove the clevis pinch bolt, and the bolt where the cevis fork and the control arm connect. Then I spread the clevis and gently tap it off. I made a special tool for the job. Got a 3/8 drive hex (allen) socket and ground down 2 sides until it fit perfectly in the gap in the top of the clevis. Then I ground down the other sides until I had an oval shape that is maybe 1/16 or 1/8 inch taller than it is wide. So you just stick it in there, turn it 90 degrees, slide the clevis on or off. Piece of cake. |

All depends on what lift you are running and how much lift you started out with. With a Franky you're pretty much maxed at the beginning, after it settles in you're still in the 3 plus range. With just the OME springs it would be a piece of cake since you don't have the spread from the get go that you do with a Franky say |
